Parking Charges
Following on from the news that Richmond on Thames is going to having different levels of charging for residents permits depending on the engine size, other boroughs are following suit, including Kensington & Chelsea. What is your view - should family cars pay extra tax and what should the limits be? Should residents be given notice of the change and how long should that notice be?

Slowing down London
Traffic speeds in parts of central London are now slower than the horse and cart. 2.9mph in the Strand – why? Because so many artificial restrictions have been constructed to reduce the road space.

The effect? If you are a company that needs to deliver around London you need to increase the number of delivery vans as the journeys all take longer – thus adding to the congestion. Idling congested traffic pollutes the environment far more than moving traffic. Livingstone’s schemes are slowing down London, making businesses less profitable and further polluting the atmospheres. GET LONDON MOVING AGAIN
Visitors to London to face higher fares
Single bus journeys to go up to a minimum of £3.00 for those without oyster cards. This increase in bus fares is 3.8 per cent above inflation. On the tube the Zone 1 single, cash fare will increase from £2 to £3, and the zone 1-6 single cash fare will be £4.00. Travelcard prices will also increase by about 4%, and the Family Travelcard will be withdrawn.

These increases are supposed to fund investment in London Transport – haven’t we been told that before with the congestion charge? It is just another tax on London. If everyone has to buy an Oyster card to travel, then make it much easier to buy one. London is already seen as a very expensive city for our visitors – not just tourists - what’s your view?
